What is Cure Coin?
So much energy and power is wasted on re-securing the blockchain and computing arbitrary hashes for Bitcoin. CureCoin is an alternative cryptocurrency that boils down to a proof of work system based upon valuable computer calculations.
Valuable scientific and medical data is provided by the Folding@Home project (F@H) run by Stanford University. The F@H project is a distributed computing project for disease research that simulates protein folding, computational drug design, and other types of molecular dynamics. The primary purpose is to determine the exact mechanisms of protein folding- a process by which all primary functions utilize. This allows us to determine what causes protein misfolding and has major applications for medical research towards Alzheimer’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and many forms of cancer.

When you run F@H or fold for CureCoin, you are rewarded upon how much power you are able to contribute to the F@H network. The more you fold, the more you earn. ASIC miners are also able to mine towards securing the blockchain and earn CureCoin too, giving a place for all users.
According to the CoinCure website, CPUs, GPUs, SHA-256 ASIC can all be used in conjunction with CureCoin and F@H network.
