Alexis Ren brings the metaverse into the physical world: Is this the future of Ethereum (ETH) and Parody Coin (PARO)?

Alexis Ren has created a new NFT project called Sirens, built on the Solana (SOL) blockchain with 10,000 NFTs. The aim is to promote mental health, wellness, and community whilst also fighting to tackle the gender inequality in crypto. As shared on Siren’s Twitter page, only 16% of NFTs are created by women, leaving the $41 billion earned in 2021 to be distributed amongst a majority of male artists.

Ren has specified how Sirens aims to be so much more than a simple NFT project. She doesn’t want to be cornered into the metaverse, instead, Ren wants this project to expand into the physical world. Nearly 10,000 members have already joined her community, and as well as creating an artistic, virtual reality online space, she wants to transpose this into a material ‘real-world’ group.

How can NFTs act as a key to real-life experiences?

Growing up in Hawaii, Ren developed an appreciation for beautiful, eco-friendly living. Therefore, the roadmap for Sirens ends in an eco-village built on land in Texas.

The Sirens website explains how they wish to implement this space, ‘As we move deeper into the metaverse, we want to balance this by offering you a real-life oasis to come and recharge in… Surrounded by nature, each mini home is 100% sustainable, using local materials, and built with the focus of being off the grid. We will use these spaces to host community retreats.’

Therefore, Sirens plans to start as an NFT community that moves into the physical world. The eco-villages promise to host summer camps and festivals, hoping to share ideas and connect as a physical community, as well as an online one.

Ren explains how she wants to recreate the feeling of going to your local coffee shop and the barista already knows your name and your favourite order. This community feeling is exactly what she wants to replicate in both her online and offline spaces.

What’s the advantage of this transition into a physical space?

On their website, Sirens explain how their community is ‘women lead and on a mission to bring women into the crypto space and leave a mark in the Metaverse’. Ren is very passionate about Sirens making an active change in the real world, utilising this space to make women happy through the power of community spirit.

The Sirens project is also about encouraging women to join crypto and Ren believes that creating a strong community will assist this goal. By focusing on a sense of belonging she hopes to manifest an atmosphere where women can grow and learn together, free to make mistakes and try new things. To Ren, Sirens is more than an NFT project, it is a journey towards social change and community spirit. By utilising both the online and offline world, Ren increases the likelihood of achieving this aim.

What could this mean for the future of other coins?

This graphic on Ethereum (ETH)’s website might not be in the too-distant future. Ethereum (ETH) already outlines several in-person (as well as online) events that they host in a range of countries around the globe. These physical meetings demonstrate a coming together that represents community spirit.

This physical manifestation of online communities may be the future of cryptocurrency. Ethereum (ETH) boasts huge online support that, if brought together into a physical environment, could become a very powerful collective.

Moreover, Parody Coin (PARO) shares many similarities with Ethereum. They are both DeFi, meaning that they are focused on community. Parody Coin (PARO) is still in its presale, with much of its potential to still be discovered after launch. Therefore, there’s potential for Parody Coin (PARO) to follow in Ethereum’s footsteps and announce in-person collectives, paving the way for new coins to move away from a solely online existence.
