Twin Protocol is a blockchain-secured AI platform that empowers individuals and organizations to create and interact with their digital twins. Twin Protocol safeguards valuable insights and personal legacies for future accessibilities.
Q: Twin Protocol talks about creating digital representations that capture an individual’s expertise and personality. From a product perspective, what have been the most surprising or innovative ways users have begun to train and utilize their AI Twins?
J.E: Some users have trained their AI Twins to act as life coaches, career mentors, or even fitness trainers by embedding their own values, philosophies, and motivational styles into their twin. I was surprised with the level of depth within the AI responses, the result is a truly personalized support tool that not only offers actionable advice but does so in a way that resonates deeply with the user’s personality and communication style.
Q: Twin Protocol emphasizes user control and data privacy through blockchain technology. Can you walk us through how the Twin Vault actually protects users’ personal information and prevents unauthorized use of their digital twin?
J.E: All data and records are stored in the Twin Vault, this means all user generated content, training data and personal information is cryptographically secured and accessible only by the user. Blockchain technology provides us with an immutable audit trail making unauthorized access easily detectable and preventable.
We also run a KYC on every creator that signs up to Twin Protocol. This is to prove their identity so we know they are who they claim to be. We are particularly ruthless when it comes to “deep fakes” and impersonators.
Q: One of Twin Protocol’s key value propositions is the monetization of personal expertise. How do you see the Twin Skills Marketplace evolving to help professionals and creators generate passive income through their AI Twins?
J.E: The Twin Skills Marketplace or Twin Showroom as I like to call it, is the hub for monetizing expertise. At its most basic level creators can charge a subscription fee to allow users to interact with their twin. It is now also possible for a twin to monetise different subjects, categories or topics by adding additional AI brains to the twin which can be monetised as an add on. Users can now sell specific components of their Twin’s skills or brain, allowing customers to access only what they need,
I would like to see in the future a collaboration of creators: The Marketplace can evolve to feature curated bundles of Twins with complementary skills for collaborative projects or comprehensive problem-solving.
Q: The company was incubated by SingularityNET and leverages neural-symbolic techniques. How do these advanced AI frameworks differentiate Twin Protocol from other digital avatar or AI representation technologies in the market?
J.E: Good question! As you said, our neural-symbolic techniques stem from all the research and developments from Dr.Ben Goertzel and the SingularityNET team. I would say generally this helps our Twins to become more human like in their behaviour and personality. Unlike purely neural models, Twin Protocol’s Twins can understand and reason about abstract concepts, enabling more nuanced and domain-specific decision-making. Symbolic reasoning allows Twins to provide clear, logical explanations for their suggestions or decisions, a feature critical for building trust in professional and enterprise applications. Also symbolic systems allow for faster training with smaller datasets by leveraging pre-built logical frameworks, reducing time-to-value for our users.
This really helps us stand apart from our competitors and also being integrated into blockchain is a big differentiator. Twin Protocol leverages intelligent AI with the security and trust that comes with being on chain..
Q: Enterprise solutions are a significant focus for Twin Protocol. As VP of Product, what are some of the most compelling use cases you’ve seen or anticipate developing for businesses implementing AI Twins across customer engagement, training, and knowledge retention?
J.E: Yes Enterprise clients are important to us, we are a protocol after all which means different companies can plug into our tech and leverage Twin Protocol for their own benefits.
In terms of use cases customer engagement is a big one. Our digital Twins can act as dynamic customer representatives, personalizing interactions while learning and adapting to each customer’s preferences and historical data.
Our digital twins can be modeled on top employer performers so we can replicate their workflows and problem-solving approaches, providing consistent and scalable training solutions.
I’m anticipating that organizations will use digital twins to preserve their institutional knowledge, ensuring that critical insights and expertise remain accessible even as employees transition or retire!
Q: Twin Protocol allows users to create digital twins through multiple methods – documents, questionnaires, recorded interactions, and even photo/video analysis. Which of these methods has proven most effective in capturing an individual’s authentic expertise and personality, or are they most effective when combined?
J. E: From my experience, I would say each method contributes uniquely, and combining them yields the best results, generally the bigger the AI brain the better!
Recorded Interactions are key for capturing communication styles, tone, and emotional nuances. These files really help in the twin portraying the human personality. PDFs or Docs etc. are excellent for distilling domain-specific expertise, factual knowledge, and experiences. Photo’s and videos capture the Twin’s realism and bring the character to life.
All of these files are the bare minimum needed to create a good digital twin.
Q: Twin Protocol aims to democratize AI and give individuals more control over their digital identity. What do you see as the most significant long-term implications of this technology for how people share, preserve, and monetize their personal knowledge and are there any potential risks for misuse that will need to be mitigated?
J.E: Well empowering individuals. People will have unprecedented control over their digital identities, enabling them to share, preserve, and monetize their knowledge on their terms. We are creating a global knowledge exchange. Digital Twins are bridging gaps in getting access to expertise, creating a democratized ecosystem of learning and collaboration. And longer terms it’s also about revolutionizing legacy. When we die in the future, Individuals can leave behind dynamic, interactive digital legacies, transforming how personal and professional knowledge is passed on.
In terms of risks, we need to be responsible for good ethics when handling AI developments. Unauthorized replication or malicious use of twins could pose risks, it needs robust authentication and tracking measures. It’s important to thoroughly test your digital twin when creating it and keep training it as an ongoing process. Just as humans learn new things everyday, so should your twin or its brain and answers will be out of date.
