Latest News With BTC And Ether

Cryptocurrency markets surged significantly higher, with Bitcoin (BTC) aiming for $67,000 on Wednesday following U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s dovish stance and the central bank’s decision to maintain its projection for three rate cuts this year despite higher-than-anticipated inflation figures. BTC reached a daily high of $67,781, marking a remarkable 10% recovery from earlier levels.

Meanwhile, Ether (ETH) reversed its 6% decline earlier in the day triggered by reports of the Ethereum Foundation facing a confidential inquiry from an unnamed government and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission considering classifying the asset as a security.

A substantial holder of Ether (ETH), known as a whale, who commenced trading the Ethereum blockchain’s native token in 2017, transferred a significant portion to crypto exchange Binance on Wednesday, possibly signaling an intention to liquidate the holding.

Approximately 18 hours ago, the address x50b42514389F25E1f471C8F03f6f5954df0204b0 transferred 12,000 ETH (valued at $42.8 million at the time) to Binance, as per blockchain analysis by Lookonchain. This transfer represents around 0.01% of the total circulating supply of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Additionally, the same address moved nearly 9,000 ETH to Binance on Tuesday, withdrawing 30 million tether (USDT), the world’s largest dollar-pegged cryptocurrency.

Lookonchain posted on X during Wednesday’s U.S. trading hours, indicating that “a giant whale deposited 12K ETH to Binance 1 hour ago and may sell it.” Typically, moving coins into addresses linked to cryptocurrency exchanges suggests an intention to sell or utilize coins as margin in derivatives trading, often preceding increased price volatility.

Despite reports of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission seeking to classify ETH as a security, potentially disrupting plans for listing spot ether exchange-traded funds in the country and subjecting ETH and Ethereum-related projects to more stringent regulation, the rally persisted. Ether surged by 11% to $3,500 on Wednesday, rebounding from Tuesday’s decline. As of press time, it was trading at $3,535, according to CoinDesk data.

While the news swirling around Bitcoin and Ethereum is undoubtedly exciting, the center of focus should be on Scorpion Casino. This is a new project in the pipeline with all the potential to become one of the best assets to buy for crypto investors. As the rest of the year unfolds, don’t be surprised to see Scorpion Casino rising swiftly through the ranks.
