DeVO Releases DApp Devoted to Redefining Philanthropy

DeVO Protocol has completed V1 of the DApp, an early version of the philanthropy protocol. The decentralized application is designed to facilitate unprecedented transparency and seamless communication between all Verified Volunteers, Volunteer Organizations, Donors, and Corporate Entities within the ecosystem .

How DeVO’s DApp Presents a Peer-to-Peer Network

DeVO V1 DApp, the pilot program, is a portal that allows a glimpse of a meticulous overhaul of the outmoded philanthropy sector. It steps through the processes of becoming DeVO Verified and introduces a host of multiple geo-locational charitable projects for volunteers to join. If a volunteer has an idea for an initiative of their own, they are able to create a project , may then acquire a corporate sponsor or apply for a grant.

Corporations looking to increase their goodwill and boost shareholder confidence, have the opportunity to become a Corporate Sponsor for a project, which then is automatically publicly displayed on a leaderboard. Another high value-add is the ability to purchase key data in determining the direction of a campaign, such as, how many volunteer projects there are in the area, what the needs are in the community, and will be able to directly recruit manpower from a quality volunteer pool.

Notable DeVO Conveniences:

Unlike traditional organization procedures, donations do not pass through the hands of DeVO administration. Funding is directly applied through smart contracts. The smart contract serves as an escrow until the milestones are achieved. Both parties can view the funds in the contract at any time, and when proof is provided, the funds are programmatically released.

This careful, staggered funding approach, over which donors have control of, gives donors an ongoing engagement with the project. The peer-to-peer nature creates an intimate and more effective framework that encourages people to give more, volunteer more, and engage more. It’s a simple, non-abrasive, pseudonymous way of benevolence that creates an interface between donors and volunteers. Ultimately, DeVO Protocol DAO aims to reward volunteers for their efforts while streamlining the overall experience of all stakeholders. It promises transparency, trust, security, and reward. DeVO wants to raise the bar in philanthropy, and with the launch of their DApp, it seems they have already started.
