In Hong Kong, According to the South China Morning Post, there has been doubling in the number of cases of students selling counterfeit goods on online community marketplaces over the past year. The number of fakes found being sold in physical stores jumped 400% over the same period. Even though some of these items were not marketed as originals this activity is still illegal. Millions of dollars in fakes have been seized and large fines have been levied on perpetrators.
