Shiba Inu Shiba Eternity

The team behind the Shiba Inu based project Shiba Eternity has announced a significant update to its collectible card game (CCG). The update, which was detailed by the project’s marketing lead, Lucie (@LucieSHIB), and ecosystem team member, Mazrael.shib (@Mazrael), on X, introduces a suite of enhancements aimed at improving user experience and expanding the game’s features.

Lucie’s announcement was brimming with enthusiasm: “Quick Update from the Shiba Eternity Team! They’ve been bustling behind the scenes! The first version of the project is up and running, and it’s just been polished with some updates yesterday. But there’s no slowing down – they’re already on to adding new features and tweaking the system.”

She went on to reveal exciting upcoming features, including updates to kibbles and Shiboshis. Lucie further hinted at an upcoming play-to-earn feature, urging Leash and Shiboshi and SHEB holders to prepare for testing the game on Shibarium.

Mazrael provided further details on the technical enhancements brought by the update, emphasizing its focus on improving performance and resolving specific gameplay issues. “The highly anticipated major update for #ShibaEternity is now live, bringing a plethora of enhancements including bug fixes and performance optimizations, to name a few,” he shared.

He highlighted critical fixes such as the Princess Andromeda card not functioning as expected and issues with Stealth fighter cards causing game lags, which have now been resolved.

These improvements are expected to deliver a more seamless and engaging gaming experience for Shiba Eternity players on both Android and iOS platforms. As Mazrael put it, “First internal build is out! Performance improvements a plenty and fixed multiple card interactions such as princess andromeda not working as expected and Stealth fighters stunning the whole game for a second or two.”

Looking Ahead: The Future Of Shiba Inu’s Shiba Eternity

In addition to immediate improvements, the Shiba Inu team is also preparing for the beta testing of the play-to-earn (P2E) version of Shiba Eternity. This move towards a P2E model represents a significant shift in the game’s dynamics, offering players the potential to earn rewards through gameplay.

The beta testing phase, expected to begin in the second quarter of this year, follows intensive testing to address bugs identified in the version developed by AAA game studio PlaySide Studios. “Once the team fixes the bugs, it plans to deploy the P2E version for beta testing,” was shared in anticipation of this next development phase.

The enthusiasm within the Shiba Inu community for the P2E version’s beta testing is palpable, with players eagerly awaiting official announcements on the testing phase’s commencement. The non-P2E version of Shiba Eternity, launched in October 2022, has already achieved considerable success, with over 100,000 downloads on the Google PlayStore alone.

The community’s support has been instrumental in this success, through campaigns such as monthly tournaments with a prize pool of $1,000, designed to increase the game’s visibility and player base.

At press time, SHIB traded at $0.00002797.
