Bitget the crypto exchange has recently published a survey report on Tap-to-Earn (T2E) games on Telegram. The report delves into the most popular TON games, user habits, and commonly used decentralized wallets within the TON ecosystem, offering valuable insights into user behavior in this rapidly expanding market.
The survey, which collected 10,534 valid responses through questionnaires distributed on Telegram, highlights that games like Hamster Kombat have quickly risen in popularity. With the number of Telegram users nearing one billion, many have ample leisure time and are drawn to “Tap-to-Earn” games. These games are favored for their simplicity, low entry costs, and frequent rewards.
Data from the survey reveals that approximately 86% of respondents are playing Hamster Kombat, signifying its substantial market share within the TON ecosystem. Tapswap and Blum follow closely, with user proportions at 79% and 78%, respectively. Yescoin and Catizen also rank among the top five games. Notably, 54% of participants reported playing up to five games, indicating significant user overlap among these popular titles.

Alvin Kan, Chief Operating Officer at Bitget Wallet, commented on the development of T2E games on TON, noting the industry’s rapid growth and the pivotal role of decentralized wallets. Bitget Wallet, among the first to support the TON ecosystem, enables users to trade TON assets and access over 50 major dApps, including Catizen, Notcoin, Hamster Kombat, and Yescoin. Kan also highlighted the introduction of 0 gas fee transactions through collaboration with TON.
Decentralized wallets are crucial for users engaging in Telegram games. The survey found that 41% of users rely on recommendations from friends when choosing decentralized wallets, underscoring the importance of Word of Mouth (WOM). Additionally, 31% and 27% of users discover decentralized wallets through Telegram communities and the games they play, respectively.
Mobile apps are the preferred choice for users, contrasting with traditional Web3 users who favor browser extensions. This trend indicates that Telegram and its games are attracting a significant number of new users to the crypto industry, thereby altering user behavior patterns. Consequently, Metamask is not the top choice for T2E game users. Instead, Trust Wallet and Bitget Wallet lead in popularity, with usage rates of 71% and 68%, respectively.
The Bitget report not only sheds light on the behavioral characteristics of game users within the TON ecosystem but also provides valuable market insights for the industry. These insights will aid in optimizing future products and services. The ongoing development of the TON ecosystem and its growing user base promise further innovation and opportunities in the gaming and crypto sectors.
