Talib Kweli and Bitcoin Is Music To Our Ears

There is no such thing as a boring day in the world of Bitcoin and blockchain technology. Earlier today, news broke about famous hip hop artist Talib Kweli selling his music in exchange for Bitcoin, a  popular digital currency. Thanks to the partnership between Talib Kweli and ZapChain, interesting things are on the horizon for the Bitcoin community. But that is not all, as the ZapChain community platform announced a partnership with Coinbase as well.

Buying Talib Kweli’s Music With Bitcoin

Fans of hip hop music will know the name Talib Kweli by now, as his songs have topped the charts around the world. After releasing albums like A Beautiful Struggle (2004) and Eardrum (2007), it was only a matter of time until a new product came to fruition. Indie 500, as the new Talib Kweli album is called, is a collaboration with none other than 9th Wonder.

Everyday consumers have always been wondering about how they can use Bitcoin in a convenient manner. Paying for music they enjoy seems to be a good fit, and Talib Kweli is one of the first artists to accept Bitcoin as a payment method for his new album. But one thing’s for sure: he won’t be the last to do so.

To make things even more interesting, Talib Kweli is the first of – hopefully – many artists to sell digital goods on the ZapChain platform. While most people know ZapChain as a social interaction platform for all things regarding Bitcoin and the blockchain, there is much more to this company than one might think.

Starting today, ZapChain users can purchase Talib Kweli’s new Indie 500 album for the price of US$12, or purchase separate tracks for US$1.29 each. But there is more, as ZapChain is giving away 1,000 free tracks to Talib Kweli fans as a celebratory event for this album release.

It only makes sense for artists to explore the option of selling their content for Bitcoin. Unlike traditional payment methods, it won’t take weeks – or even months – to get paid, whereas Bitcoin payments are credited to an artist’s account instantaneously. ZapChain is a perfect platform to facilitate the sale of digital goods.

Additionally, Bitcoin is a universal payment method, opening up revenue opportunities around the world. Artists often find themselves limited regarding servicing a global audience, part of which can be blamed on the financial infrastructure. With Bitcoin, all of those issues fade away, and more people can be reached.

ZapChain Partners With Coinbase

Today is a  busy day for ZapChain, as the platform also announced a partnership with Coinbase. Due to this partnership, everyday consumers get easy access to Bitcoin, which can only be beneficial to collaboration, and even changing the way people make a living. Coinbase is well-known for its local currency support capabilities, which has made this company one of the top brands in the Bitcoin industry.

One of the main goals of ZapChain is connecting Bitcoin industry leaders with the overall community, to establish a place where open discussions and communication can take place without interruption. Adding Bitcoin to this idea creates a reward-based system, where members can send small amounts of Bitcoin for helpful responses, or to a conversation partner they like.
