WorldCoinIndex is a platform that provides real-time price information and news updates for over 400 listed cryptocurrencies. Launched in 2014, the website hopes to bring in members of the digital currency community looking for blockchain market data.

Real-Time Cryptocurrency Price Data

The platform’s administrators said in a press release that the index draws data from over 35 cryptocurrency exchanges, tracking cryptocurrency prices in major fiat currencies, including USD, Euro and the Chinese yuan.

The index also displays prices in bitcoin denominations, comparing all supported coins against everyone’s favorite crypto.

WorldCoinIndex cites a growing blockchain industry and rising popularity of cryptocurrency as the source of its newest push to improve its data services. Claiming to have implemented several recent upgrades, the platform said in a press release that it has the ability to livestream real-time price data with little delay.

The company noted that real-time price streaming is an important service for traders, saying:

“For traders, real-time quotes can make a difference as even the smallest time discrepancy between a provided quote and the real-time situation can change a profitable trade into a loss.”

“Real-time data improves [traders’ abilities] to react quickly and enhance investment returns.”

Due to its upgrades, WorldCoinIndex claims that its real-time price streaming is starting to rival that of mainstream price streams used by stock and foreign exchange traders.

Therefore, the company said that it is the “most powerful cryptocurrency index tool on the market.”

WorldCoinIndex Competing With Big Names in Crypto-Analytics

However, WorldCoinIndex has some stiff competition, with well known websites CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap providing similar services with nearly identical user interfaces.

CoinGecko brands itself as the “easiest way to track cryptocurrencies,” according to its website. Like WorldCoinIndex, CoinGecko has a regularly-updated stream of information for many different cryptocurrencies, and also displays recent cryptocurrency news.

CoinMarketCap displays market capitalization, price, supply and volume information for 714 cryptocurrencies, with several different options for sorting its list.

WorldCoinIndex stands firm in this market, though, with its website boasting “quick access to key information of individual [cryptocurrencies],” including links to websites, block explorers and social media, in addition to its real-time data streaming.
