Tachyon Protocol (IPX)’s first platform partner IPXUS announced to add 263 new nodes in order to meet the growing demand for IPX staking. Launched just over a month back, IPXUS is a collaboration of the Tachyon Node Community and the Tachyon Protocol team. The platform was instrumental in launching IPX staking globally by making Tachyon node creation a simple process. No technical skills needed. Any IPX token holder can set up a node for staking in a few steps.
Before this increment, IPXUS has helped operate 1,038 nodes on the Tachyon Network with 404 in Asia, 318 in Europe, 244 in North America and the rest spread across other continents. A total of 194,446,697 IPX is staked currently which has so far generated 2,705,140 IPX in session and staking combined. With a high ROI of 10+%, staking nodes are in short supply while having strong demand. The demand for staking is evident from the fact that over 70% of the currently active nodes were staked within 24 hours since IPX staking had started on IPXUS. All the 1,038 have been staked within a month.
With nearly 73% of circulating supply or ~195M IPX already staked through IPXUS, Bithumb, the next phase in expanding IPX staking will involve adding more new nodes to IPXUS and integrating more Platform Partners.
