XRP is the more sustainable option compared to its counterparts because it uses a negligible amount of energy for its transfers, especially compared to Bitcoin. It is also a pre-mined coin which means that ownership and transfers rely on consensus rather than proof-of-work, which also reduces energy use drastically.
