Within this context, K33 analysts specifically highlighted the case of Binance, one of the leading crypto companies, which is headquartered in Malta. Surprisingly, only 0.2% of Binance’s employees actually originate from the island country.
This strategic decision to set up headquarters in jurisdictions such as Malta, known for their favorable regulations and lower tax rates, allows crypto companies to minimize costs and eliminate logistical barriers. According to K33 Research’s findings, the industry now boasts nearly 190,000 employees as of July 2023.
