仮想通貨取引所大手のCoinbase（コインベース）は16日、米国でビットコイン（BTC）担保型USDCローンサービスを開始すると発表した。 1分で完了する新しい借入の仕組み 新サービスでは、ビットコインを担保として最大10万USDC（1500万円相当）までの借入が可能となる。 審査はわずか1分で完了し、返済期限の制限もない。担保となるビットコインは自動的にCoinbase Wrapped Bitcoin（cbBTC）に1対1で変換され、Baseブロックチェーン上のMorpho（モーフォ）プロトコルで管理される。 ビットコインを売却せずに資金調達が可能に このサービスの最大の特徴は、暗号資産（仮想通貨）を売却することなく、必要な資金を調達できる点だ。 借入したUSDCは無料で米ドルへの両替が可能で、自動車の購入や住宅ローンの頭金など、大きな支出に活用できる。また、ビットコインを売却しないため、課税事象を先送りできるメリットもある。 オンチェーン金融サービスの未来像 コインベースによると、今回のサービスはニューヨーク州を除く米国で提供され、今後他の地域にも展開される予定だ。日本への具体的な展開計画は明らかにいしていない。 利率は市場の需給に応じて変動し、Morphoプロトコルによって自動的に決定される。また、USDCで4%以上の報酬を得られる機能も備えている。 今後のサービス展開 サービスはコインベースのスマートフォンアプリから利用可能で、今後ウェブブラウザ版も提供される予定だ。 担保価値に対する借入金額が一定の閾値を超えた場合、清算が実行される可能性があるため、アプリ内で定期的なモニタリングが推奨される。将来的にはビットコイン以外の仮想通貨も担保として受け入れる計画だという。
