As part of the semi-annual audit process, a rigorous inspection was conducted on 421 pieces of London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) accredited 1-kilogram gold bars, stored across three secured vaults: Brink’s Hong Kong, Brink’s Singapore, and Malca-Amit Singapore. Each bar was individually weighed and measured to verify the accuracy of its physical specifications and to confirm its consistency with recorded vault data. To complement the physical verification, XAUm leverages tokenization technology to offer real-time blockchain verification, enhancing unprecedented transparency for investors. Matrixdock’s Gold Allocation Lookup tool allows token holders to view the specific gold bars backing their tokens with up-to-date visibility. The 421 kilograms of gold (equivalent to 13,534.308 troy ounces) verified in the audit report directly correspond to the total circulating supply of 13,534.308 XAUm tokens. This affirms that XAUm is 1:1 backed by physical gold stored securely in Brinks and Malca-Amit vaults, with a market value of approximately USD 46.03 million.
This multi-layered approach to verification, combining professional third-party audits with real-time, continuous blockchain-based verification, offers XAUm holders unparalleled visibility into the physical gold backing their digital assets. This commitment represents a notable step forward in the tokenized asset space, offering a level of reserve transparency largely unavailable in the market.
