The first half of 2022 was not a great time for cryptocurrency. With most of the digital currencies dropping, even resulting to the downfall of Terra Luna, many investors lost their confidence in cryptocurrencies.
However, things could improve as we proceed with the latter half of the year. Investors have a chance to recoup all or at least part of their losses my maximizing gains. For the month of August, the cryptos that investors need to include in their portfolio are Uniglo (GLO), Uniswap (UNI), and Solana (SOL).
Uniglo (GLO): The ultimate new crypto to buy
Out of the three we mentioned above, Uniglo is the only one that is relatively new. In fact, this decentralized finance (DeFi) project just started the first phase of its presale last July 15. It is also set to begin the second phase this August 15. Since the GLO token is still at the early stages of its life cycle, it is worth buying. With long-term holding, the price of GLO could escalate, providing massive gains to early adopters.
However, a key reason Uniglo is considered one of the ultimate cryptos to buy this August is because of the two-function strategy of the protocol that could secure massive crypto growth for GLO holders. The project will have a multi-asset-backed treasury to be used for building an asset vault and it will implement a hyper-deflationary mechanism that will help drive the value of its native token.

Uniswap is another ultimate crypto to buy this month. Uniswap is a popular decetralized exchange platform. Built in 2018 on Ethereun, Uniswap ulitizes smart contracts to facilitate automated transactions. Basically, Uniswap is a liquidity provider, which is a much-needed service in DeFi.
The Uniswap Foundation recently raised $74 million to fund proposed efforts to enhance the platform’s governance processes, protocol development, and decentralized exchange transactions. As such, a lot of upgrades could be expected from Uniswap. It is also worth noting that over the last seven weeks, the UNI token gained over 150% amidst accumulation by whales.
Include Solana (SOL) in your wallet
August is also a hot month for decentralized computing platform, Solana. This platform is a direct competitor of Ethereuem that achieves scalability by combining a proof of stake consensus and a proof of history consensus. This combination enables Solana to perform approximately 50,000 transactions per second. Unfortunately, Solana was a victim of a recent hack that compromised a number of wallets, but whales are holding on their SOL tokens in anticipation of an upcoming price surge.
Final thought
The cryptocurrency market may be far from full recovery, but at least for August, investors can begin to rebuild their portfolios with the three ultimate cryptos listed above that are worth buying this month.
