The new collection created by digital artists Ekaterina Perekopskaya and Rostyslav Brenych, who exhibited their artworks at Venice Biennale, rethinks art sharing through NFTs and a sustainable approach. Through today’s NFT minting event the duo hopes to raise awareness of global problems.
The fashion industry has long been concerned about the problems of conscious consumption, but in art, this has only recently begun to be addressed. The Venice Biennale exhibition, which ended in November last year, is the latest example of the use of recyclable materials in artworks. One of them is Concept2048’s Metamorphoses collection, which not only focuses on saving the planet, but also redefines the concept of art sharing through the use of NFT.
Anyone can participate in today’s collection sale, which takes place on two blockchains simulteneously — Ethereum and TON. This means one doesn’t have to come to art auctions and bid for items, which are 2,048 in total, anymore. This is what art sharing is really about.
In addition, the artists claim that collectors do not just buy unique art objects, but also start immediately participating in making the world better. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the collection will be used to solve “the most-pressing global and humanitarian problems”, which include but not limited to the ecological crisis, poverty, and overconsumption… NFT owners will be able to decide which charitable initiatives the funds should go to.
Envoys — this is what the authors call their like-minded people and community members — are also depicted on each NFT. According to the project, these messengers came to Earth as the salvation of humanity, which by 2048 may be on the verge of extinction. “Each Envoy is a ray of light, and it controls one of the four elements: water, earth, fire, or air.” Their mission is to help people start acting today to prevent catastrophic consequences.
Concept2048 has already gained the attention of the global community, followed by a 350% increase in the NFTs price. At today’s public sale, Metamorphoses NFTs will be offered for buying on OpenSea for 0.49 ETH and at TON Diamonds — for 350 TON, or about $1,600 and $800 respectively. Further collections are expected to trade on OpenSea, Getgems, and TON Diamonds.
