Recently, the Bitcoin markets were rocked as it emerged that the royal government of Bhutan sold 367 Bitcoin from their holdings, worth over $40 million. This marks the second time that Bhutan has sold a portion of its Bitcoin holdings recently, after selling $66 million worth in recent weeks. Despite this selling pressure, the Himalayan nation remains one of the largest government Bitcoin holders with over 12,200 Bitcoin still under management and worth around $1.1 billion.
Bitcoin has been consolidating recently over $100K and is currently up 1% on the daily time frame to reach $101.4K.
Avalanche ($AVAX) Upgrade Set To Improve UI For Bullish Chain
Avalanche is just outside the crypto top 10 as a 2% rise in the last 24 hours has brought the Avalanche price to $45.6. This brings the monthly gain for Avalanche holders to a whopping 42% and the Avalanche market cap to over $18.6 billion. Avalanche counts the incoming VP J.D. Vance among its largest holders, which is obviously very bullish for Avalanche going into next year.
Avalanche is set to release its Etna mainnet upgrade this week, as validators prepare to upgrade their nodes to version 1.12.
