The fusion of the crypto industry and digital art takes center stage at Blockchain Life 2024 in Dubai, with the exhibition space enriched with monumental digital art pieces. The exposition is a part of the collaboration between the event’s main sponsor, the mining company Uminers, and distinguished academic painter and graphic artist Sandra Kowalskii, whose works have been showcased in London, Amsterdam, Nice, Los Angeles, and Barcelona.
“Cryptocurrencies are the future,” Uminers explained. “It is this unique synergy between Sandra’s artistic vision and our foresight in the realm of cryptocurrencies that has given birth to a work of such scale and complexity. In collaboration with Sandra, a globally recognized artist, who held private exhibitions across prestigious venues in the USA, UK, Germany, France, and beyond, Uminers aimed to express its vision of mining technology, highlighting that technology can be exciting.”
Digital art pieces adorn the walls of the VIP area, where forum attendees in Dubai engage in networking and discussions on partnerships and collaborations. Spanning 166.4 square meters, the digital art section in the VIP area features materialized works displayed on walls measuring up to 20 meters. Additionally, a 6-meter panorama and a second-floor screen, along with a large-scale booth representing the mining industry leader, Uminers, are adorned with digital animated paintings. The total area of digital art created for Blockchain Life exceeds 240 square meters. This is the largest demonstration of digital art of this scale in the cryptocurrency industry since its inception.
“The partnership between Uminers and Sandra Kowalskii at Blockchain Life 2024 symbolizes a milestone in the integration of art with the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. Through this collaboration, Uminers demonstrates its commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in crypto and anticipates its plans to expand its data centers capacity to 350 MW in the near future,” Uminers underpins.
Established in 2017, with offices in Guangzhou, UAE, and the USA, Uminers is a diversified mining company engaged in the export and import of mining equipment and the operation of data centers boasting a total capacity of 90 MW, with plans to ramp up capacity to 350 MW by 2025. Uminers holds official partnerships with leading mining equipment manufacturers such as BITMAIN and MicroBT.
“The idea for the project was conceived by the president of Uminers. Initially, we intended to make something centered around space, but as the work evolved, I developed the idea for a grand-scale project. The core goal was to illustrate the role and significance of mining equipment. We needed to devise a way to show through art that anyone can become successful. In the cryptocurrency world, this journey is referred to as ‘to the moon,'” Sandra explained.
All digital art pieces engaged in the exhibition space design at Blockchain Life 2024 in Dubai share a cohesive narrative concept, comprising three narrative parts, weaving a cinematic story which has an exposition, a climax, an interesting denouement and even a love story.
