The National Hockey League (NHL) and the Sweet, a non-fungible token (NFT) platform announced a multi-year partnership deal on June 23. This will bring the NFT marketplace to the League.
As per their statement, the NHL, NHLPA, and NHLAA officially designated Sweet as the Official NFT Digital Collectibles Marketplace and Official NFT Partner.

The NHL will be able to create a range of unique NFT projects due to this multi-year relationship. And through this, they can offer brand-new chances for devoted followers or collectors to grow their collections. The stand-alone NHL platform custom-built for this program by Sweet will showcase current and historic moments as well as iconic elements of the game in the form of non-fungible tokens.

The announcement concluded by stating that quests and challenges would also be hosted on The NHL marketplace run by Sweet, which will promote fan involvement because they are collectible.
