In 2020, the TECNIO Centre EASY research group at the University of Girona collaborated with Aumenta Solutions in an INNOTEC project, aiming to create a blockchain-based real-time maintenance system for various industries.
This ambitious project merged blockchain certification with augmented reality to enhance efficiency and traceability in industrial maintenance operations.
Fast forward to 2023, Aumenta Solutions and MSI have shifted their focus to a crucial real-world sector: the global port infrastructure market. This market, valued at $148.1 billion in 2020, is expected to surge to $243.1 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 4.9% from 2021 to 2030.
Port infrastructure is the backbone for ships, cargo, and passengers transiting through ports. However, expanding and maintaining port infrastructure necessitates significant capital investments, lengthy lead times, and extensive long-term planning.
The Ardor Blockchain and AR-powered Platform
The innovative port infrastructure maintenance project, developed by Aumenta Solutions and MSI, leverages the Ardor blockchain and AR technology. This cutting-edge platform grants on-site maintenance workers access to digital information, such as schematics and maintenance manuals, while certifying user tasks via the Ardor Blockchain.
