In the wake of Snip’s recent partnership with Bancor, both platforms are looking to take their relationship to the next level with what they are calling a “mutual airdrop”.
The airdrop, which is scheduled to take place on October 18, 2017, at 10 pm UTC, will reward holders of both BNT and SNIP with free tokens. Once the airdrop starts, anyone holding at least 300 BNT will automatically receive 450 free SnipCoins (SNIP). At the same time, holding at least 2 ETH worth of SNIP will automatically receive 1.5 BNT.
If you already have the minimum amount of BNT and SNIP, you don’t have to do anything to receive your free coins other than sitting back and watch your balances grow. If you’ve been thinking about buying SNIP and/or BNT now is the perfect time to do it and earn yourself some sweet bonus coins while you’re at it.
Why Are Snip and Bancor Giving Away Free Coins?
In a blog post earlier today, the Snip team explained the reasoning for the airdrop:
A key goal of SnipCoin is to engage a large audience and turn them into early adopters of the Snip ecosystem. By adding thousands of BNT holders to the Snip network, we hope to reach many more people at an early stage and turn them into real Snip believers.
To check and see if you’re eligible to receive SNIP and BNT rewards all you have to do is go to Snip’s airdrop status form and enter your ETH address from any ERC20-compatible wallet (e.g. MetaMask, MyEtherWallet, etc…) and find out whether or not you have enough SNIP and/or BNT.
