Blockchain-focused venture capital firm KX is looking to drum up some excitement on the eve of one of the most anticipated crypto events of the year, with a special event taking place at Café Brera at Reunion, at the National Museum of Singapore.
The Web3 Brunch & Beyond by KX and Friends promises to be an engaging and insightful event where participants will be able to explore and discuss the latest innovations and trends in Web3. It’ll be a fun, close-knit get-together with a limited number of attendees, where discussions will be focused on some of the most exciting investment opportunities and challenges that exist in Web3 today. KX’s experts will be joined by special guests from some of the biggest names in the crypto investing scene, including 1kx, Hashkey Capital and Figment Capital.
KX is kicking off its Web3 brunch at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12, just 24 hours before the start of TOKEN2049, Singapore’s busiest and most prestigious annual crypto conference. The hosts have set aside 30 minutes for registration and networking before they get down to business with their official KX and Friends Welcome Speech, during which they’ll lay out the agenda. That’ll be followed by the main course, featuring a panel discussion on the subject of Web 3.0 Investment Horizons, which is billed as a comparative insight from West to East VCs in the crypto space.
The panel will consist of some of the most experienced and knowledgeable visionaries in the crypto industry, including Lasse Clausen of 1kx, James Parillo of Figment Capital, Ryan Chen of Hashkey Capital and Jacob Ko of Superscrypt, with KX playing the role of host and moderator.
There are limited spots remaining, so anyone who wants to attend is urged to register immediately to avoid disappointment. Interested persons are invited to sign up here, but note that registration is subject to approval by the host.
KX is ideally suited to host the event, having emerged this year as one of Thailand’s leading crypto-focused VCs following its strategic investments in hot local startups Magic and Transak. Its investment strategy is centered on decentralized commerce, and it believes Southeast Asia is a region that’s ripe for blockchain and crypto adoption. It’s especially focused on boosting industry growth in its home nation, Thailand, which is already ranked as one of the top 10 countries in the world in terms of cryptocurrency users. To that end, KX has helped launch startups including the NFT marketplace Coral and the crypto investment management platform Bigfin.
KX says its brunch event will serve as the perfect appetizer for crypto fanatics ahead of TOKEN2049, which begins the following day. This year’s edition is set to be the biggest ever, with more than 10,000 attendees from over 3,500 companies all booked to appear at the event. It will feature an expansive program of more than 300 side events and networking opportunities from Sept. 11-17, with the main event itself running from Sept. 13-14.
Visitors to TOKEN2049 can look forward to multiple keynote speeches and panel discussions, hacker houses, technical workshops and NFT galleries, spanning areas such as crypto’s evolving regulatory landscape, the rise of AI, Web3, blockchain gaming, NFTs, DeFi, the metaverse, interoperability and more.
