ANON Summit 2020 Proves Viability of Online Blockchain Events
Vienna, Austria, 22 May 2020 —ANON Summit 2020 has just wrapped up a successful two-day online blockchain event, having fulfilled BlockExpo GmbH’s promise of recreating the offline conference experience in a fully digital setting.
ANON 2020 attracted over 8500 registered attendees, with over 1000 logged in simultaneously during the morning hours each day. Throughout both days, an engaged crowd virtually attended keynote speeches and panels, as well as visiting the expo floor and taking part in sessions. ANON provided a novel form of networking via random video chats, which proved so popular with attendees that the event kept them running even after the main stage events had wrapped up.
Registrations came in from 143 of the 195 countries in the world, across different continents, speaking different mother tongues, proving the truly global appeal of blockchain, and the reach of online events.
“The blockchain community was hungry for an event that would be both educational and social,” said Michael Beches, Co-founder of BlockExpo. “We’re happy to have been able to create an online conference that was more than just a stream, something that allowed people to really interact and engage with the content and the presenters.”
ANON Summit 2020: A True Hybrid Experience
Thanks to Austria’s success in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, the BlockExpo team was able to work from the location of last year’s event in order to provide a real hybrid experience, with a virtual stage and more. Having over 20 people involved in the production of the event allowed for a more polished and immersive experience, and took online conferences to a whole new level.
“It was a great experience working with BlockExpo to bring this event to life,” said Cointelligence CEO On Yavin, who co-produced the event. “They were really dedicated to making ANON 2020 a success, and to giving the community an event worth attending.”
Feedback from attendees so far has been overwhelming and mostly positive in nature, showing that there is a definite demand for high-quality online events. ANON Summit was able to create an environment where people could connect on both a professional and personal level, brought together by their interest in blockchain, no matter where they were on the planet.
ANON Summit would like to thank the following sponsors for their support of the event: Electroneum, Tezos, Ledger, Raiffeisen Bank International, and BDO.
Those who were not able to attend the event, or who would like to revisit their favorite speeches and panels, can find videos from the event on the ANON Summit YouTube channel.
