Mi Primer Bitcoin, Or My First Bitcoin, recently announced its fourth Bitcoin Educators Unconference. The organization revealed the time and place for the event’s next installment, jumping from Nashville to the city where it all started.
Bitcoin Educators Goes Back To The Beginning
Mi Primer Bitcoin (MPB) is a non-profit organization from El Salvador that focuses on BTC education worldwide. The organization is also known for hosting its Bitcoin Educators Unconference, bringing industry figures and BTC enthusiasts from around the globe to participate in the event.
MPB announced that the fourth installment of their Unconference will be held in two months. This time, the event will return to El Salvador’s Capital, San Salvador, where the first edition was held a year ago.

After the Madeira and Nashville events, the next Unconference will be held at the Cadejo Brewing Company. Scheduled for November 14 at 10:00 (GMT-6), this edition will happen one day before the Adopting Bitcoin conference takes over the city.
At the Unconference, the 150 attendees can become speakers at the BTC-only event. Participants can pitch their ideas at the beginning of the day as the session and activities are “designed to reflect the Bitcoin ethos.”
As part of the “decentralized and collaborative” nature of the event, BTC enthusiasts will have the opportunity to collaborate and network with industry figures, as well as “engage in meaningful discussions and share insights with others.”
Industry leaders, including Jeff Booth, Preston Pysh, Ben Perrin, and Natalie Brunell, alongside educators and enthusiasts from around the globe, have attended previous editions of the Unconference.
BTC Diploma Program Continues Expansion
The MPB organization launched its Bitcoin Diploma program in early 2022, aiming to facilitate BTC education in diverse topics, including fiat money, BTC’s history, and the challenges to the different facets of the flagship cryptocurrency.
Since then, the program has become successful, reaching over 30,000 students in El Salvador in the last three years. Moreover, the 2023 workbook has been translated into 23 languages and independently taught from South America to Asia.
On September 18, MPB shared that the BTC diploma workbook will “spread further in Zambia” after another organization announced the translation to the Nyanja, Bemba, Tonga, and Lozi languages.
The nonprofit has also collaborated with El Salvador’s Ministry of Education to promote adoption and financial empowerment in the country. The collaboration aimed to introduce the BTC diploma curriculum to the country’s public educational system this year.
The program was set to educate 700 public teachers, training them to deliver the BTC diploma curriculum to students in their local schools. By April, nearly 100 educators had graduated from the program, and in September, the non-profit announced that another 100 teachers had started the 10-week program this month.
