The Casper Association, a non-profit organization committed to advancing blockchain adoption, runs a reward program within the Casper ecosystem. Known as the DevRewards, the program invites participants to enhance the ecosystem by submitting innovative ideas or addressing existing gaps. Participants can also engage with specific challenges listed in the program, and successful contributions are rewarded. The incentives, ranging from $100 to $1000, are paid in CSPR, the utility token of the Casper blockchain. The program encompasses a wide range of topics including NFTs, DeFi, SDKs, dApps, and documentation activities and tasks.
The Casper DevRewards Program recognizes and rewards the contributions of its community. It encourages participants to not only propose new ideas but also to provide solutions for current minor challenges within the ecosystem.
Propose a New DevReward
If you have a proposal that can enhance the Casper ecosystem, the DevRewards Program is your platform. The program encourages the submission of ideas that can drive the ecosystem forward.
The only prerequisite for contributing a new DevReward idea is to have a GitHub account. Here is a quick guide on how to create a new DevReward. After signing up to your GitHub account, simply follow the steps below.
1. Go to the DevRewards page on the Casper Developer Portal and click the ‘Share your idea’ button. You can also access DevRewards through GitHub directly
2. Click on ‘Issues’ and then ‘New Issue’ on the top right corner
3. Click on ‘Get Started’
4. On the issue form, enter the DevReward title, indicate reward size in USD, select the reward category (NFT, DeFi, SDK, DApps, Documentation, or Other), and enter a detailed description as well as acceptance criteria for your proposed idea.
ProTip! Remember to take a look at existing published tasks so that you can price your tasks based on similar effort
Feel free to attach files to make your proposal more clear. It’s important to describe your idea with precision, including examples and links where applicable
5. Click on the ‘Submit new issue’ button to finalize and preview your proposal.
Your proposed DevReward will appear with a ‘proposal’ label on the issue list. Upon Casper Association’s technical assessment, the new DevReward will be available with an ‘open’ label next to it.
Apply to Solve an Open DevReward
For those more inclined towards problem-solving, the program lists several open DevRewards, which can be explored.
Once you find a challenge that resonates with your skills and interests, submit your solution following the outlined guidelines. The Casper Association will evaluate your submission, ensuring it meets the necessary quality and relevance standards. If your solution passes this review, you will be rewarded with CSPR tokens. Its that straightforward.
The Casper DevRewards Program is built on the foundation of community-driven development. Seize this opportunity to impact the blockchain world, whether you’re a developer or not. Casper DevRewards is a great way to join Casper open-source community. Bring your ideas, solve challenges, or simply participate in a way that suits your skills.
