Because of this, they tend to save their best rooms for people who book with them directly. And who can blame them? 30% is a huge dent on their takings.
When booking directly, all the payment goes to the property owner or hotel, meaning they are far more likely to be generous with those little add-ons that can transform just an ok stay to a great one.
So.. What does this mean? Should you be putting in more effort to get the best deals?
